About Us

Seat Construction Company was first licensed in 1985 as a General Contractor. Since that time approximately 100,000 other contractors have been licensed and a high percentage have come and gone. Today, our license is approved by the State of Tennessee for Unlimited Value projects, Commercial & Residential Construction, Heavy Construction, Municipal Construction, and Highways, Railroad, and Airport Construction. We believe that because our business principles are based on biblical principles, they have been the key to our stability and longevity in a tough industry. We are blessed to be able to say this.

We truly attempt to serve our construction customers. This attitude has led to continuing relationships with our customers and vendors. We still do business with many of the same vendors and salesmen that we started with in the 1980's. We also still work for some of the same customers today on projects that we first served in our early years.

Our first projects were residential homes, condominiums, and remodeling projects. In 1990 we branched out into commercial construction. Today we serve both markets with our greatest volume in commercial projects. However, because of the handyman business, we complete a larger number of residential projects than commercial projects.

Greg Seat, Seat Construction Company Founder is a native of Nashville and has raised his family here. Greg is an avid outdoorsman participating in fly fishing, canoeing both flat and whitewater, and hunting. Greg is also a competitive tennis player and has coached the girl's varsity tennis team at Christ Presbyterian Academy for the past two years. He has used his construction skills through his local church to help families locally and internationally. Greg served on church mission construction teams that have worked on projects in Nashville, East Tennessee, Boston, Mexico, Honduras, and Chile. Greg and Norma have been married for 26 years and have two children who currently attend the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.
